I have two observations and one question about "Tutorial (9) Accessing GDAL data provider in DotSpatial".
Observation 1: If you add the Application Extensions folder to your Visual Studio project, set the Build Action property of each file to "Content" and the Copy to Output Directory property of each file to "Copy if newer", then Visual Studio will automatically copy this folder to your Debug or Release distribution for you.
Observation 2: Check the properties of the DotSpatial.Data.Rasters.GdalExtension.dll file and make sure it is not blocked on your computer. Press the Unblock button if you see it. This cost me some time as the program compiled and ran correctly, but I could never see the additional file types I was promised at run time.
Question: The tutorial instructs me to add the System.ComponentModel.Composition assembly reference. Is this reference necessary? I seem to be running without it.
